Sudurpashchim secure their third consecutive win

  With a brilliant all-round performance from Dipendra Singh Airee , Sudurpashchim Royals registered their third consecutive victory in the second Nepal Premier League (NPL). Sudurpashchim defeated Karnali Yaks by 45 runs today. In a low-scoring contest, Dipendra starred with 39 runs and 4 wickets , leading his team to a dominant win. Chasing a target of 140 runs , Karnali were bowled out for 94 runs in 19.2 overs —the lowest total by any team in the ongoing league so far. Despite having a modest target, Karnali made a poor start. In their previous two matches, their foreign batters had been their biggest strength, but in this match, all four overseas players from the top to the fourth position were dismissed cheaply. Sudurpashchim’s bowlers restricted Karnali to 33 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in the first powerplay. Priyank Panchal was dismissed for a duck by Dipendra. Biratnagar’s third consecutive victory

With impressive bowling from marquee player and captain Sandeep Lamichhane , the Biratnagar Kings secured their third consecutive victory in the second edition of the Nepal Premier League (NPL). In a low-scoring yet thrilling contest, Biratnagar defeated Janakpur by 9 runs . With this win, Biratnagar climbed to the top of the table with 6 points . Chasing a target of 136 runs , Janakpur were restricted to 126 runs for 9 wickets in their allotted 20 overs. Despite having a modest target, Janakpur failed to start well. Opener Aasif Sheikh was bowled by Surya Tamang for 13 runs. At that point, the team had scored just 19 runs. Janakpur managed only 35 runs in the first powerplay , which was 5 runs fewer than Biratnagar’s powerplay score. In the second season of the Nepal Premier League (NPL), Biratnagar Kings secured their second consecutive win. Today, Biratnagar comfortably defeated Kathmandu Gorkhas by 5 wickets, handing Kathmandu their second loss after a disappointing batting performance. Chasing a modest target of 135 runs, Biratnagar reached the total in 17.1 overs, losing 5 wickets along the way. During the first powerplay, Biratnagar lost 1 wicket but scored 67 runs, moving steadily toward victory. Opener Lokesh Bam was dismissed for 14 runs on the fourth ball of the third over, caught by Santosh Yadav off the bowling of Karan KC. Following this, George Munsey and Martin Guptill stabilized the innings with a 53-run partnership for the second wicket. Chasing a target of 143 runs, Lumbini reached the total in 18.3 overs, losing 4 wickets.
